Fear NOT!

Fear is the basic building block with which all religions that have been invented by man are constructed with. And make no mistake, ALL religions have been constructed by men - except those constructed by women of course. But I don't know of any that have been constructed by women. If you are aware of them, do let me know. 

Fear

"Believe this, or you will have a terrible life"

Fear

"Believe this, or  after you die, you will rot in hell for all eternity" 

And as soon as they can get away with it (and every religion will say this), "believe this or we will KILL you". 

Without that fear no religion would ever exist. And that fear is the same whether today, you are a Jew Christian, Muslim or follow any other of the 1000's of religions in existence today. Remember too that there are dozens of religions that come in and out of existence every year, all pushing the same message of fear. 

And that fear followers feel now is no doubt the same fear felt by followers of now long dead gods, such as Resheph, Anath, Ashtoreth,  El, Nergal, Nebo, Ninib, Melek, Ahijah, Isis and all the other occupants of 'The Graveyard of the Gods' (See H.L. Menken's sublime article https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/13677-where-is-the-graveyard-of-dead-gods-what-lingering-mourner for further details). 

If this manufactured fear demonstrates one thing, it is that we should stop calling member of religions 'followers', 'worshippers'. 'adherents' and all the other fluffly things we call them. Instead, we could call them what they really are. 

VICTIMS. 

They are victims because it is they who have been conditioned to believe that failure to follow the beliefs, practices and ceremonies of their particular religion will lead to awful consequences. 

But fear no more. For you have nothing to fear. 

This becomes obvious when one observes 'The Phenomenon of Non-Observance". 

Did anything happen to the non-observers of the tenets of the cult of Robigus? How many reports have there been of untoward happenings befalling those who refused the commands of Gunfled, Sokk-mimi or Astaarte? And in today's world, where Christians claim that the only way to God is through Jesus, what evidence is there that the 75% of the world's population who are NOT Christians are going to end up roasting in hell? 

That will be none then! That is because the fears that have pushed every religion that has ever existed in history are totally unfounded and can be totally and utterly IGNORED. 

Your teeth are not going to fall out and your willy (if you have one), is not going to drop off. And if you did not get sex last night, it had less to do with your failure to pray to Zeus and much more to do with the fact your other half was washing their hair. 

So go out and live the best life you can, knowing full well that you have nothing to fear.

Except fear itself! 

Only joking about that last part.

A Challenge to Believers

If you are SO convinced that God exists, and that God is all powerful, and that God performs miracles, and that God answers your prayers, try this challenge. Take a feather and seal it into an airtight glass jar. Now, compose a prayer, asking God to prove to you they exist, by lifting that feather ONE CENTIMETRE off the bottom of the jar and holding it there for ten seconds while you film it on your phone.
