Religion and Racism
Religion is the last respectable face of racism.
One of things religion does is endue believers with the deluded belief that because of the opinions they hold, (and never forget that religion IS only an OPINION) they are somehow superior to those who do not hold them.
And what is the difference between that and someone believing their their skin colour makes them superior to someone else with a different skin colour? What is the difference between someone thinking they are superior because they take part in a set of wholly ridiculous and pointless rituals every week and thinking that their geographical location puts them above others from a different location?
This racism is most obviously displayed in the public wearing of religious symbols.
Here in the UK, we see women from Muslim background wearing what I call 'The Rag of The Racist Pig' around their heads, in the form of Niqabs and Burqas. It is their way of saying 'Fuck You, I am better than you because I believe bullshit and you do not'. Crosses, kippah's, turbans - all are also signs of the inherent racism that is religion.
Needless to say the cry from some reading this will be 'but religions are not races'. That is true. But try telling that to The Regressive British Left, who will happily sit back and let me slag off Christianity or Judaism. But the minute I even suggest disagreement with one particular religion (and you all know which one), the race card will come out of their back pockets faster than I can blink, along with accusations of my having a 'phobia'.
